Import

import Container from '@material-ui/core/Container';
// or
import { Container } from '@material-ui/core';

You can learn more about the difference by reading this guide.

Props

Name Type Default Description
children * node
classes object Override or extend the styles applied to the component. See CSS API below for more details.
component elementType 'div' The component used for the root node. Either a string to use a DOM element or a component.
fixed bool false Set the max-width to match the min-width of the current breakpoint. This is useful if you'd prefer to design for a fixed set of sizes instead of trying to accommodate a fully fluid viewport. It's fluid by default.
maxWidth 'xs'
| 'sm'
| 'md'
| 'lg'
| 'xl'
| false
'lg' Determine the max-width of the container. The container width grows with the size of the screen. Set to false to disable maxWidth.

The ref is forwarded to the root element.

Any other props supplied will be provided to the root element (native element).
